Summary: The last She-Creature was a mermaid of sorts, albeit a horrific incarnation of a modern beauty from millions of years ago brought back by an evil magician. Yeah, that was weird. Here, we also have a tale of a monstrous mermaid's connection to a lady, only it's a lot more romantic...and visceral.
History: Somewhere in a place known as the Forbidden Islands, there is a congregation of mermaids that wait for their queen, known as the Queen of the Lair, to bring them food, unless they can just get it themselves. But the queen is in a tight fix these days. You see, she's part of a sideshow attraction, which got raided recently by a crew looking for some big bucks, and is now on a course to different civilization. But she has developed a connection with the sole woman of the crew, and will use her to help get her back home, and slay these greedy mortals.

Final Fate: After the crew realizes that the captain got mind-controlled into sailing them into the Forbidden Islands for the rest of the mermaids to eat, the queen reveals her true form, slaughters the crew, and kills the woman's husband by ramming her blunt tail ends through his torso. The woman is spared, and as the queen lives life amongst her kind, the human lives on to conceive a child with the queen's eyes...
Powers/Abilities: She can turn into a human during the full moon, hypnotize people, and impregnate women while they're having sex with others. Of course, her typical mermaid form is a front for her true animalistic form, which comes with talons, an impenetrable hide, and a paddle-like tail full of blunt ends for stabbing.
Weakness: None that we know of.
Scariness Factor: 4-Don't be fooled by this queen's alluring looks. For she is quite the manipulative one if you spite her in any way. At first, she's deadly with her psychic powers and seduction. Then when the gloves come off, she's a full-blown apex predator that cannot easily be killed. Let's hope her offspring doesn't get pressured into prom sex or something.
Trivia: -This film was oddly once known as "The Mermaid Chronicles Part 1". Then again, a franchise involving these particular mermaids would have been rather intriguing.
-This film was the first of a few movies produced by Cinemax under the "Creature Features" banner. All of these films are named after popular 50s films, but in name only. The most common factor is that they all have practical effects done by Stan Winston, and even got an action figure line because of it.
